China Tech News reports that Huawei Technologies has inked an agreement with Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology to provide $3 million worth of equipment for the university's wireless communication lab and training center.
Bangladeshi education adviser Hossain Zillur Rahman remarked that the agreement translates into two important messages; that a new kind of relationship has been set up between enterprises and educational institutions, and that corporate social responsibility has become a reality instead of just being a discussion topic.
Huawei entered the Bangladeshi market in 1998, and is reported to be the biggest telecommunication solutions provider in Bangladesh.
