Ericsson said that it has been selected by Vodafone Ireland to perform the system integration of a real time charging and IP multimedia subsystems (IMS) solution. Further the Swedish firm will also upgrade and expand the network capacity of the Irish operator.
According to the deal, Ericsson will integrate existing systems with next generation IMS environment and will enable real-time charging and underpin demanding multimedia functionality.
Commenting on the alliance, Mats Svaerdh, Chief Technology Officer at Vodafone Ireland said “Ericsson''s strength as an end-to-end systems integrator is helping make our multimedia vision a reality.”
Financial details of the deal are not disclosed yet.
