Huawei Technologies has pared down to five its list of private-equity companies it is considering for a deal involving its mobile-devices division, according to published reports.
The Chinese telecom-equipment maker, which is looking for a well-heeled partner to help it navigate the U.S. market, is said to have narrowed the list to: Bain Capital Partners LLC; Goldman Sachs Group's private-equity arm; Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.; and Silver Lake.
