Fan Jinqiao, general manager of China Mobile E-commerce Co. Ltd, said at MWC Shanghai 2016 that China Mobile has purchased over 40 million NFC cards, and Hebao service subscribers exceed 10 million while China Mobile has promoted mobile payment services in 23 Chinese provinces. He also pointed out public transport application is the top priority for China Mobile's NFC development in 2016.

China Mobile has invested CNY 150 million in NFC this year, including CNY 50 million for scene construction and CNY 30 million for marketing.
According to Fan, China Mobile aims to cover transport in 100 cities and 100 campus enterprises with NFC application in 2016 and it has achieved coverage in 66 cities by far.
There are over 60 devices adaptable to NFC in the market. China Mobile is in consultation with Apple on cooperation possibility of NFC application.
