China Mobile IoT card subscribers exceed 20 million

China Mobile exhibited new smart home products at the CES Asia 2016 including the smart home gate, Eye C20 and Lushang products, and released "Global Partners Recruitment Plan of China Mobile IoT Open Platform OneNET".

China Mobile launched the IoT card 18 months ago and it has got more than 20 million IoT card subscribers by April 13th, which is expected to exceed 100 million in 2018. China Mobile's network becomes a dedicated carrier network with the hugest user base worldwide.

The global IoT market is expected to reach $830 billion by 2020 while the devices connected to IoT will reach 50 billion of which 570 million are based on the cellular network.

The smart home gate has integrated functions of optical modem, wireless router and intelligent peripheral control center, which makes it able to realize security, storage, health management, telemedicine education and other services for the subscribers.

Eye C20 is customized for small and medium shops. Besides 1080P HD quality and effective protection including double storage and double alarm, Eye C20 also supports split screen view.

In terms of car networking, China Mobile showed two kinds of Lushang products - one OBD and the other installed on rearview mirror. It offers alarm for abnormity and driving optimization and provides car lifecycle services as well as value-added services such as traffic violation inquiry.

"Global Partners Recruitment Plan of China Mobile IoT Open Platform OneNET" aims at integrating the resources in the industry chain and serving more industries to achieve "Internet +". The related official of China Mobile said that Platform OneNET has over 19,000 registered subscribers, connects more than 2.3 million devices and cooperates with over 2,400 companies till now.
