China Unicom announced the operating data for March on April 21st. The data shows that China Unicom's total mobile subscriber base reached 259 million with a net growth of 1.103 million in March. Its 4G subscribers rose by 4.499 million reaching 59.301 million, showing a slower month-to-month increase.
China Unicom reported 844,000 fixed broadband net additions,taking the fixed broadband base to 73.405 million while its local fixed telephone subscribers reduced by 668,000 reaching 72.035 million.
