China Telecom released its financial results on March 23rd. On the press conference of the annual financial results, Yang Jie, president and COO of China Telecom, said China Telecom has completed disposal of the tower assets last year and there will be no more sale proceeds. But the rent China Telecom paid to China Tower last year was 20% higher than the fee of self operation and maintenance. The rent for this year is still during negotiation and China Telecom hope it will reduce.
The capital expenditure of China Telecom for last year increased by 42% than that in 2014, reaching CNY 109.1 billion. Yang Jie expressed that the capital expenditure will decrease 11% to CNY 97 billion this year and that for the next two years will continue to decline if there won't be any large - scale construction.
