China Mobile released the financial results of 2015 on March 17th. The results shows that in 2015 China Mobile has achieved CNY 668.3 billion revenue with a 2.6% year-on-year increase; its communication services hit CNY 584.1 billion with a 1.3% year-on-year decrease; its net profit achieved CNY 108.5 billion with a 0.6% year-on-year decrease; the mobile subscribers of China Mobile hit 826 million with a net increase of 2.4%.
It is worth noting that revenue of data services of China Mobile has reached CNY 303.4 billion, exceeding its revenue of voice services for the first time and accounting for 52% of the total revenue while the mobile traffic data consumption increases by 143.7% year-on-year. Its revenue of mobile Internet services increased by 30.5% year-on-year, reaching CNY 200.9 billion.
The total of 4G base stations of China Mobile has reached 1.1 million by the end of 2015 and these base stations realize continuous coverage in the areas of or above township level as well as effective coverage of data hotspots in rural areas,covering over 1.2 billion people. The average download speed is 37 Mbps on city roads. China Mobile has added 200 million 4G subscribers in 2015 with total 4G subscribers reaching 300 million and DOU of 4G subscribers is 2.2 times DOU of its total mobile subscribers.
The results also point out that China Mobile has obtained fixed broadband licenses through purchasing assets and business of China Tietong, which accelerates implementing the full-service operation stragedy. After several years of cooperative development with China Tietong, China Mobile has achieved 55 million fixed broadband subscribers till now.
