In January, the total telecom service volume of China's three major operators is CNY 239.62 billion with a year-on-year increase of 41.4% while the total revenue is CNY 98.59 billion with a 4.8% year-on-year increase.
Development of telecom subscribers in January
The three operator's mobile subscribers reach 1.28 billion which include 759 million mobile broadband subscribers (3G and 4G subscribers), accounting for 59.3% of the total with a 53.164 million net increase.
The three operators have added 1.45 million broadband access subscribers with the total reaching 210 million, of which the FTTH/O subscribers reach 120 million, accounting for 58.1% of the total.
The three operators have added 19.421 million mobile internet subscribers, reaching 980 million with a 11.8% year-on-year growth.
Usage of telecom services in January
Duration of Calls in China hits 235.22 billion minutes in January with a 1.1% year-on-year decrease.
SMS volume reaches 54.08 billion with a year-on-year decrease of 11.3%. A 14.8% year-on-year decline happens to MMS volume while the total multimedia messages sent reach 4.69 billion. The revenue of SMS is CNY 3.07 billion, declining by 11.3% year-on-year.
The mobile internet access traffic reaches 540 million GB, increasing by 120.9% from a year earlier. The fixed broadband access time is 4.8 trillion minutes with a year-on-year increase of 21.5%.
Telecom economic benefits in January
The revenue of mobile communication services of three operators hits CNY 72.8 billion with a year-on-year increase of 5.7%, while that of fixed communication services has achieved CNY 25.8 billion with a year-on-year increase of 2.1%.
The revenue of fixed data and Internet services hits CNY 13.14 billion with a year-on-year growth of 1.3%, while revenue of mobile data and Internet services reaches CNY 32.12 billion with a year-on-year growth of 36.9%.
