The chief radio expert of China Unicom Ma Hongbing said at a meeting recently that China Unicom will provide VoLTE pre-commercial service with the whole network in 2016, at that time, the whole network speed will reach 300Mbps, and China Unicom will also carry out triple-CA technology trails in some areas at the same time.
In order to achieve this goal, China Unicom will carry out VoLTE and CA trails in live network in this year. According to Ma Hongbing, China Unicom will provide VoLTE pre-commercial service in some cities and conduct CA trails in some pilot regions by the end of the year, during that time the network speed can reach 260Mbps or even 300Mbps.
