A source said,China Mobile Guangdong branch launched lazy-man charging packages recently, in which the contained traffic data can be converted as 0.75M for 1 minute of calling and 0.5M for 1 piece of SMS/MMS, therefore the traffic data can be converted to domestic voice calls and SMS/MMS flexibly.
Previously, many virtual operators have launched similar packages, and were regarded as symbols for differential services from basic operators. For example, Ali Telecom, Suning Mobile and other virtual operators have launched packages available for conversion between traffic data and voice services, which can be converted according to the customers’ demands.
This also brings hope for basic operators that of low growth rate in user scale. Compared with virtual operators, basic operators have advantages in network sources, the pricing power is in their own hands and the rich experiences in telcom services operating can make the business be available quickly. This also means that, the innovation packages launched by virtual operators, which are of advantages, can be quickly imitated by basic operators.
