The General Manager of China Unicom broadband traffic data management center Zhou Hua said, China Unicom Traffic Data Bank was formally launched on 18th November, which owns 800,000 users currently with an active degree of 35%, the traffic data coins in account transactions reached 97.86 million, and interactive transactions reached 1.38 million.
As we have learnt, subscribers only need to install an App or login in the page version to use the Traffic Data Bank, so they can enjoy services including the inquire of traffic data at any time, access and purchase, they can also give the surplus traffic data to others. In addition, the subscribers can also participate in promotion activities in the traffic data platform, so as to earn free traffic data and realize the control of their own traffic data. In the future, subscribers can even exchange traffic data with third party credits (such as credit card and supermarket member points), and they can use their traffic data to pay the shopping, which will really realize the function of data monetization.
