Xu Sen from Network Technology Research Department of China Telecom Beijing Research Institute introduced the current development situation of China Telecom TD-LTE network in yesterday. Xu Sen said, at present, China Telecom is engaged to expand the scale of TD-LTE network in different batches at different time, to ensure that it can build 20,000-30,000 base stations within the year; it also strengthens the coverage depth in hybrid networking cities, and constantly improve the user perception of network interoperability, striving to surpass the goal of developing 3 million TD-LTE subscribers in this year.
At the same time, China Telecom is actively promoting the upgrade of PHS users, and clean the PHS band as soon as possible to support the development of TD-LTE network. At present, PHS subscribers declined from 6.31 million in last July to 2.23 million, the network portability rate reached 65%.
For the lack of devices supporting CDMA+TDD/FDD in present situation, China Telecom will rely on CDMA+LTE FDD mobile phones to guarantee the needs of subscribers and industry chain demands in the early stage, simultaneously it will actively promote the development and test validation of multi-mode chips and devices, realizing the supporting of TD-LTE in LTE devices respectively. Therefore, China Telecom is currently researching on the key technologies of TD-LTE and CDMA interoperability, working on interoperability technical schemes, pushing the establish of state/industry standard specification, and drive the industrial chain to speed up the development and technology test of relevant products etc..
In addition, in the solution of calls, China Telecom will take the SVLTE double receiving and sending technology as its solution for LTE devices.
