On October 13th, the joint strategic cooperation conference of China Telecom and Didi Taxi has been held in Beijing. Both companies signed the agreement to extend cooperation including mobile phone data traffic, customized service packages, devices, etc.
China Telecom will also offer national preferential data package, customized packages and phonesfor Didi’s new user development; Didi will also open its channels to establish specific statistical ports to dock with China Telecom’s platform for the convenience of China Telecom users. Didi will provide more convenient, considerate, customized taxi service for China Telecom users.
As a mobile platform for local life service, Didi Taxi has covered 300 cities, 100 million users, including hundreds of millions taxi drivers since it comes online on September, 2012.
Analysts say the business between China Telecom’s digital channel and Didi Taxi is a complementary cooperation, providing more convenient and fast inset online service including mobile data charge, customized packages, phone devices and family broadband installment. Except that Didi has no number resources, the service that they offer has no big difference with virtual operation. As for whether it will cooperate with China Telecom on virtual operation, Didi says, “Development road needs to be paved from one step to one step. And today is just a beginning.”
