As China Unicom launches its 4G network recently, and allocates 4G numbers using 17 segments, 4G numbers of the three operators show up with all 17 segments. After 13, 15 and 18 segment numbers, a new one has been added in China’s mobile number segments.
According to Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) regulatory approval that new 4G network users all use numbers begin with 17. Beijing Uniocm announced recently that it will launch the special numbers begin with 176, which will be the 200,000 exclusive numbers for the first batch of users.
China Telecom has used numbers begin with 177 in allocation and announced it the exclusive segment numbers for its 4G users, and China Mobile has allocated 178 segment numbers to its 4G users in this year, which means 4G network numbers of three operators have been commercialized
totally.
This is beneficial for MVNOs objectively, for 170 segment numbers that they use are not acquainted by users; many people repel numbers start with 17. But along with the using numbers begin with 17 by three operators, 170 segment numbers will be accepted in gradual process.
