China Mobile put on sale its first own-brand 4G smartphone

Recently, China Mobile officially released its first own-brand 4G smartphone M811, which costs 999 RMB, and the pre-order customers reached nearly 150,000 since the device has been opend to presell.

As another masterpiece of China Mobile’s own-brand mobile phone following M601 and M701, M811 has made its debut in the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in the February of this year.

M811 is equipped with Qualcomm quad-core processor, paired with 1GB RAM and 4GB built-in ROM, 2500mAh high capacity battery, the total weight is only 133g; it has a 5-inch IPS screen and runs under the highly customized Android 4.3 OS with a new independent UI, and it supports five models and ten frequency bands in term of network standard.

According to the introduction, China Mobile’s 4G network has covered more than 300 cities now, with more than 320,000 base stations and nearly 5 million 4G customers.

The vice president of China Mobile, Li Huidi said, by the end of April, more than 180 of China Mobile’s 4G mobile phones have been certified by the MIIT, and China Mobile would reach the goal of 300 mobile phones in this year. "The sales of China Mobile’s 4G devices will exceed 3G devices in the second half of this year."
