BSNL launches FTTH-based broadband services in Rajasthan

BSNL recently launched Fibre-To-The-Home concept-based broadband services aiming to further enhance the end-user experience. Aksh Optifibre is partnering BSNL in the project.

The FTTH service was inaugurated by Minister of State for Communications & IT, Mr. Sachin Pilot in the presence of BSNL CMD, Shri Kuldeep Goyal and CGM, BSNL Rajasthan circle, G K Agrawal.

The service, jointly launched by BSNL and AKSH Optifibre Ltd, will provide multiplay services with high definition content for its 35,000-plus consumers in six districts of Rajasthan namely, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Kota and Alwar.

Minister of State for Communications & IT, Mr. Sachin Pilot, said, “It gives me immense pleasure to unveil the utility set of  controls for the prime set of customers, who can now via the FTTH technology, which is embedded with Gigabyte Passive Optical Technology, can enjoy superior video and data services.”

Shri Kuldeep Goyal, remarked, CMD BSNL, “Via the new launch of our FTTH service, BSNL brings to its consumers a Triple Play experience, that is, (Voice-Video-Data) for the first time in the history of India. The FTTH services include IPTV, HDTV, 3DTV, video conferencing, interactive gaming, video on demand, bandwidth on demand and several other value added services, setting a benchmark in the industry.”
