O2 Ireland targets SME, business sector for fixed line services

Updated:2010/3/12 10:51

O2 Ireland, backed by Spanish telecoms giant Telefonica, plans to increase its activities in the Republic’s fixed line segment by launching a range of products targeting the SME and large businesses markets. The Irish Independent says the firm aims to deliver a so-called ‘one stop shop’ for a firm’s fixed and mobile communications requirements. As part of this, O2 is unveiling a bundled fixed line and broadband tariff plan with free calls to O2 mobiles and free local, national and UK landline calls for EUR49.99 (USD68.07) per month. O2 Ireland business sales director Alan Brown is quoted as saying: ‘Our research tells us that customers want the ‘one stop shop’ bundled solution that will meet all of their communications requirements, mobile and fixed, with one monthly bill. To that end, O2 has invested significantly in a new systems infrastructure to deliver this seamless service to our customer.’
