China Mobile's <0941.HK> parent company will accelerate its investment in its 3G network, aiming to complete by yearend investments that were originally planned over the next two years, an executive said on Thursday.
Wang Jianzhou, chairman of Hong Kong-listed China Mobile, was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the meeting of an advisory body to parliament.
Wang said China Mobile's parent company planned to invest a total of 120 billion yuan ($18 billion) in 3G projects from 2009 to 2011.
