Telefónica's CEO Julio Linares said that the company only aspires to a minor stake in the Spanish pay-TV platform Digital+.

Conversations between the joint-venture Telefónica-Vivendi and Sogecable for the sale of Sogecable's satellite pay-TV operator are still in the preliminary phase according to Linares.

Linares also declared it was still too early to put a price on the sale and at the same time he said French media group Vivendi "would be a good partner of Digital+ and that Telefónica "doesn't want to control the operator but to manage it".

Telefónica's interest in Digital+ implies to exchange contents and commercial offerings for its DSL pay TV operator Imagenio.
