BSNL Expanding 2G & 3G Mobile Telephony Services

To ensure a faster data access and multimedia services, BSNL is planning to roll out new mobile video and streaming services over its 2G and 3G networks shortly.

Dilithium, the multimedia solution provider over mobile and broadband networks will deliver solutions for BSNL's live mobile video services through Dilithium DTG 3021 multimedia gateways and the DCA video streaming solution. This will enable two-way video calling and other advanced video services for BSNL.

"We will provide comprehensive end to end solutions for both circuit switched and packet switched video for this." said Uno Mehta, senior VP of Dilithium's Value Added Services business unit. The solution provider has joined hands with HCL Infosystems Ltd. for technical collaboration.

BSNL is planning to roll out Live TV services in early 2009.
