BSNL launched its CDMA prepaid services in the state today and announced several news schemes to mark the occasion.
CGMT, Orissa Mr SC Joshi and the entire top brass of BSNL were present at the launch and explained the new facilities and promotional offers were introduced.
The present CDMA WLL connections are all post paid and this category will now stand to benefit under the new prepaid services as they can recharge with the help of coupons and top up cards of various denominations. The minimum recharge coupon has been priced at Rs 111.
The prepaid service has all the features of mobile services like SMS, roaming etc. We hop to add another one lakh CDMA capacity during the current financial year said the officers.
The broadband service will be extended to rural areas of the state and all block offices of the government will be connected with broadband services of BSNL, they informed.
BSNL also plans to launch its IPTV by June next in cities of Bhubaneswar, Rourkela, Sambalpur. The content providers have been short listed , they informed.
Talking about the prepaid starter packs introduced today , the officials said three variations for the general prepaid customer has been introduced.
For the pujas a festive Magic-40 voucher was launched today as one of the several promotional schemes. This allows the prepaid and Saral Anant customer to make calls at a reduced rate.
Similarly a new value added data service pack allows unlimited data browsing for all prepaid customer.
