Slovakia’s Anti-Monopoly Office has reiterated a fine of USD42 million previously levied on incumbent PSTN operator Slovak Telekom for abusing its dominant position in the telecoms market. The competition regulator imposed the fine on the telco in 2005, but the decision was later revoked by a regional court. The case was sent back to the regulator, which restated the fine and has now given Slovak Telekom 15 days to appeal.
