Fixed wireless access operator TeleCard has announced that it has selected Augere, a European company focused on broadband delivery in emerging markets, as the contractor for its WiMAX network, according to Pakistani news source The Post. TeleCard has confirmed that deployment of equipment has already started and commercial services are expected before the end of the year. TeleCard currently operates internet offerings under its Supernet brand, with a portfolio of services that include VSAT and pre-WiMAX Broadband Access (BWA) technologies.
