China Telecom subsidiary Xuzhou Telecom has released CDMA network business in nine business halls, and will expand the business to more service locations soon, reports qq.com.
Telecom equipment providers including Alcatel-Lucent, Nortel Networks, Motorola, ZTE, Samsung and Huawei have joined China Telecom's latest round of CDMA bidding, a round rumored to be worth RMB 10 billion, reports Shenzhen Special Zone Daily. China Telecom is expected to announce bidding results this week or within the month at the latest, according to a company insider. The telecom operator is conducting bidding to update the CDMA network in 81 key cities, said the report.
