Cellcom Israel Ltd. said profit rose 8.5 percent in the second quarter as Israel's largest mobile- phone company by subscribers added new customers.
Net income climbed to 230 million shekels ($64 million), or 2.32 shekels a share, from 212 million shekels, or 2.15 shekels, a year earlier, the Netanya-based company said today in an e- mailed statement. Revenue climbed 9.9 percent to 1.6 billion shekels from 1.46 billion last year.
