Beijing Unicom, a branch of China Unicom (0762.HK; CHU.NYSE), recently announced it has offered roaming service in Taiwan for its "Worldwind" GSM network users to facilitate China Unicom users to make call when traveling to Taiwan.
China Unicom's GSM network has cooperated with six of Taiwan's telecom operators, including Chunghwa Telecom, KG Telecom, Taiwan Mobile (TCC), Far EasTone, Mobitai, and VIBO Telecom. The telecom fee varies among different Taiwan-based operators.
