The head of Vodafone Germany, Friedrich Joussen, has stated that the company plans to increase its share of the country's DSL market to at least 20% over the next five years, up from 13.6% currently. Parent company Vodafone Group is keen to grow its broadband business, and in May agreed to buy the 26.4% that it did not already own in fixed line operator Arcor.
