Alcatel-lucent and Convergys to Provide a Converged Billing and Customer Care Solution
Alcatel-Lucent and Convergys have signed a multi-year non-exclusive agreement that integrates Convergys Infinys applications into Alcatel-Lucent''s Business Support System (BSS) solution. It includes a convergent billing solution combining Convergys and Alcatel-Lucent''s leading product portfolios in the prepaid and postpaid segments, and Alcatel-Lucent''s BSS integration services.
"This partnership provides a key element of the converged BSS solution addressing service provider needs to improve business operations, with a single business software system that supports different payment methods, different services, including voice, multi-media and blended lifestyle services, along with the evolution to fixed mobile convergence," said Jean-Pierre Gaillat, Alcatel-Lucent''s Vice President of the global
OSS/BSS and Software Integration Professional Services Practice.
"This reseller agreement breaks new ground for Convergys. By working with Alcatel-Lucent we are extending our business model to enable more operators to benefit from the fully convergent pre- and postpaid capabilities of the combined solution, said Bob lento, President, Information Management at Convergys.
Through this agreement with Convergys, Alcatel-Lucent says that it now offers a complete, pre-integrated billing, rating and customer care solution.
