Chinese Web search engine operator Baidu.com Inc. said Tuesday that it signed an agreement with China Netcom Group Corp. under which the companies will jointly provide a Baidu-powered Web search page for China Netcom users.

Beijing-based Baidu said that users who try to visit an incorrect or nonexistent URL will be redirected to the jointly designed search page.

American Depositary Shares of Baidu declined $6.37, or 2 percent, to $293.63 in morning trading, while limited ADS of Bejing-based China Netcom shares fell $1.23, or 2.1 percent, to $57.43.
