China Telecom released the operating data in May on June 20.
The company added 2.97 million mobile subscribers, reaching 227 million. An addition of 4.67 million happened to its 4G subscribers, making the total number reach 147 million.
Its fixed broadband subscribers increased 760,000 to 127.29 million in China in May. Its FTTH subscribers have been up 6.07 million to 112.06 million by the end of the first quarter this year.
Its fixed telephone user base dropped 490,000 to 124.59 million.
