Updated:2017/3/9 15:38

Deputy Minister of MIIT Liu Lihua said in an interview that by the end of 2016, 4.4346 million radio stations have been granted license in China, up 53.51 percent from 2012, excluding military radio stations and license-free civilian radio stations.

The public mobile communication base stations increased 101.06 percent to 3.0756 million by the end of 2016 from 1.5297 million in 2012, which is the most obvious growth among these licensed radio stations.

Demands for radio spectrum will continue to rise in the foreseeable future, and Radio Regulations of the People's Republic of China will guarantee the healthy development of radio management work and radio services.

China has made considerable progress in radio management which plays an increasingly important role in the country.
