MIIT issued the ICT Industry Development Plan During 2016-2020 on January 17.
The Plan noted China's ICT market will have generated revenue of CNY 3.5 trillion by 2020, a 15.5 percent increase from the CNY1.7 trillion in 2015, including Internet service revenue of CNY3 trillion, up 24.6 percent from the CNY 1 trillion in 2015.
It's not hard to see the rapid rise of Internet service's ratio to the ICT industry revenue and the decline in telecommunication industry revenue which is estimated to reach CNY500 billion at most by 2020 while ICT infrastructure investments are estimated to reach CNY 2 trillion accumulatively by then.
