MIIT approved China Telecom to launch FDD-LTE business on Band1

According to the requirements in related documents of the MIIT, China Telecom has been approved to launch FDD-LTE 4G network on Band1.

As revealed in the files, from the September 9th 2014 to June 30th 2015, China Telecom has been approved to change the technology systems in frequency, so as to adjust the 1920-1935MHz/2110-2125MHz frequency bands in 3G (CDMA2000) to LTE FDD standard in LTE hybrid networking trials in seven cities, including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Suzhou, Hangzhou and Ningbo.

According to the requirements, all the cooperation partners of China Telecom should complete the following work as soon as possible:

First, for the 4G devices that have been delivered but the 2.1G frequency band is unavailable, they should be upgraded immediately in software, and shall obtain the capacity to default open 2.1G network by OTA or other ways before 31st December.

Second, from now on, all the 4G devices handling for A warehouse storage are required to support and activate the LTE FDD 2.1G frequency band.

Third, all the 4G devices handling for B warehouse storage are required to support and activate the LTE FDD 2.1G frequency band by February 1st 2015.
