The inspector of Fixed Assets Investment Department of National Development and Reform Commission(NDRC) Ou Hong told the media recently, China started the pilot work of mobile communication resale services since the end of last year, which has issued pilot licenses to 34 private enterprises in 4 batches, the total annual investment is expected to exceed CNY 700 million in this year. At present, 20 of the enterprises have formally started number allocation and cumulatively developed over 1 million subscribers.
Ou Hung said, after the start of pilot mobile communication resale services in private enterprises, it has formed apparent promotion effect on the innovation and services of China's mobile communication business. In the next step, the NDRC will further promote the relevant work and the number of pilot enterprises will be further increased.
At the same time, China encourages private capitals to participate in basic telecom operation market by joint stock, and promote the telecom enterprises to introduce private strategic investors through the release of a certain proportion of the state-run shares of listed companies or by increase the funding and expand the shares.
