MIIT issued the third batch of licenses for pilot mobile telecommunication resale business to 6 private enterprises yesterday, up to now, a total of 25 private enterprises have obtained such licenses.
The enterprises that obtained the third batch of pilot approval are: Guiyang Longmaster information & technology Co., Ltd, ShenZhen SeeCom Tech.Co.,Ltd, Yongyou Mobile Communication Technology Service Co. Ltd, China PTAC e-commerce technology Co., Ltd., 21Vianet Group, Inc, and Yinsheng E-pay Co., ltd.
The first two batches of licenses are issued at the end of last year and early this year, respectively.
At present, awareness of the virtual operators and acceptance of the 170 cellphone number section is generally not high among the subscribers, according to the "2014 research report of the customers attention to virtual operators in China " issued by iiMedia Research in April, 22.8% of subscribers have heard but don’t know well about the virtual operators, 62.8% of the mobile phone users don’t know what are virtual operators, subscribers who said they know something about virtual operators only accounted for 14.3%.
