DoT¨s 3G price receives support from IT Ministry, DIPP

The DoT has reportedly received support from the Information Technology (IT) and Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) over the pricing of 3G spectrum for a reserve price of Rs 2020 crore. This is on backdrop of the Finance Ministry seeking a 100 percent increase in the reserve price of 3G spectrum.

The DoT is now awaiting response from the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) over the policy decisions before going ahead with the process of auctioning of 3G spectrum.
