The Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC) has reportedly received encouraging interests from private players including Indian IT majors like TCS, Infosys and Wipro for its planned rollout of a WiMAX certification lab, a sixth such one to come up across the globe.
The lab among other activities will certify equipments and solutions offered by different vendors and test them for conformity, performance, functional and interoperability in accordance with WiMAX standards.
TEC will own 26 percent, Indian partner 49 percent and the rest will be given to the foreign partner.
