Trai orders GSM operators to interconnect with RCom GSM network

Trai has asked GSM operators like Bharti, Idea, BSNL and Vodafone to provide connectivity to Reliance Communications (RCom’s) GSM network and report the compliance latest by August 21.

The GSM operators said that their present agreement is restricted to provide interconnection to RCom’s CDMA network and are demanding fresh negotiations for similar interconnection deal for RCom’s GSM foray.
