China's three major operators show significant growth in 4G subscribers in May

China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom have announced the operating data in May recently.

China Mobile

China Mobile's total subscribers reached 835.406 million.

In May its 4G subscribers increased 20%, about 17.898 million, to 409 million, compared with 14.904 million in April.

A loss of 6.759 million happened to its 3G subscribers, smaller than that of last month, while the total hit 139 million. China Mobile's total subscribers came in at 835 million with a growth of 637,000 while its fixed broadband subscribers increased 926,000 to 62.647 million.

China Telecom

China Telecom's mobile subscribers have increased 1.34 million to 205 million and it added 5.03 million 4G subscribers, taking the 4G base to 84.55 million.

In May, a growth of 580,000 happened to its fixed broadband subscribers with the total reaching 117 million. Its local fixed telephone subscribers reduced 670,000 to 131 million.

China Unicom

In May, China Unicom has added 579,000 mobile subscribers with expenditure with the total achieving 260.117 million while its 4G subscribers increased 4.503 million to 68.182 million.

Its local fixed telephone subscribers of China Unicom decreased 535,000 to 71.017 million and fixed broadband subscribers reached 73.689 million with a net increase of 167,000.
