China's three major telecom operators released the operation data in April respectively on May 21st.
Overall, 4G subscribers grew fast in April with a high penetration in China. China Mobile accounted for 73% of the 4G subscribers in China.
In April, the total subscribers of China Mobile hit 834.769 million, including 391.418 million 4G subscribers which increased by 14.904 million.
China Telecom reported 4.61 million 4G subscriber additions, taking its 4G base to 79.52 million with its total subscribers reaching 204 million.
China Unicom's 4G subscribers came in at 63.679 million, marking an increase of 4.378 million while its total subscribers achieved 260 million.
