China Mobile will launch VoLTE service in over 260 cities by middle 2016,, President of China Mobile Li Yue said on December 15th.
China Mobile will continue to promote upgrading of its 4G network, he said at the China Mobile Global Partner Conference 2015, China Mobile will deploy over 100,000 4G CA base stations in 2016, which will cover all the core districts and hot regions of domestic cities at county level and above, the downlink rate will increase 1 times.
On the other hand, China Mobile will promote VoLTE commercialization process with the principle of “quality as priority and launch services in regions”, at present, the operator has launched VoLTE commercial services in some cities, it is expected that the VoLTE commercial service will be available in over 260 cities by middle 2016 and provide voice services with higher quality and lower price to users.
