Ge Qi, the deputy general manager of China Mobile General Department, said in a meeting recently, by the end of the first half of 2014, the number of China Mobile’s TD-LTE 4G base stations has reached 410,000, close to the annual goal of 500,000 4G base stations.
By the end of August 15th, China Mobile customized TD-LTE devices accumulated to 292 models, TD-LTE mobile phones accumulated to 458 models, the 1000-yuan level 4G devices reached nearly 305 models.
At the same time, China Mobile also launched 4G devices of its own brand, following the M811 launched in June, China Mobile launched its second brand-owned 4G mobile phone M812 on September 10th, which is a 5-mode 11-band smartphone, and it is also the first smartphone sold to foreign countries of China Mobile’s own brand.
The collocation between network and devices has promoted the development of 4G subscribers of China Mobile. "By the end of July 31st, 4G subscribers of China Mobile reached 20.44 million, with the cut down of 4G threshold, the data traffic consumed by these 4G subscribers accounted for 13.4% of the entire network currently, the ARPU is 2 times of the average value of the whole network and 4G DOU is 6 times of the average value."
