Recently, China Academy of Telecommunication Research of MIIT issued the white paper on IOT. Now China has formed a relatively complete IOT industrial system, including perception manufacturing, network manufacturing, software and information processing, network and application service and so on.
In terms of industry scale, IOT industry maintained a relatively rapid growth rate in China in the past few years, and the overall industry scale reached 500 billion RMB in 2013, with a year-on-year growth of 36.9%, among which the sensor industry exceeded 120 billion RMB and RFID exceeded 30 billion RMB. It is expected that China's IOT industry would exceed 700 billion RMB in 2015, and information processing and application services would gradually become the priority of development.
In the service industry of IOT, M2M service of China’s three major operators has always been the highlights. China Mobile and China Telecom upgraded IOT business base to branches for market management. China Unicom has issued over 2 million various near-field payment card, and the enterprise network based on WCDMA provided intelligent transportation vehicle monitoring and scheduling system, with over 1 million users and covering more than 200 cities.
