LPWA cellular Internet of Things has more advantages in anti-jamming, security and stability to unlicensed spectrum, Guo Xiaoyan, deputy director of China Mobile Research Institute for Internet of Things said at the 2017 China Telecommunication Industry IoT Conference on April 13.
LPWA cellular network solutions are implemented in licensed band and unlicensed band at present. China Mobile will keep concentrating on Narrow-Band Internet of Things (NB-IoT) for the time being.
As for the application scenarios of IoT, Mr. Guo stated China Mobile Cellular IoT will focus on vertical industry needs such as low power consumption, long service and wide coverage, terminal modules, network and the platform of IoT, and offering end, pipe, cloud service industry-leading system. Based on OneNET, the company has application planning network connection capabilities for the IoT applications.
Also, China Mobile hopes to promote the autonomous core ecological construction, relying on NGMN, 5GAA, TIAA and other industry alliances or organizations.
